What do I really want?
Take time to figure out what you want to do with your life. Find something you enjoy doing and stick with it until you are at your greatest ability. Be the you that you want to be.

Should I really change?
Asking yourself this will help you decide if you are already doing something that you do well and enjoy. Maybe you just aren't concentrating on an area of your life that you'd like to see grow.

What's the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. And if it's a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

Am I comfortable with what I'm doing?
There's always the simple way and the correct way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn't take a whiz kid to perceive yourself as someone exceptional.

Have I done enough for myself?
Unhappiness in each phase can be hazardous in huge doses, but in tiny amounts you'll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

Am I happy at where I am today?
If the answer is yes, then grab onto this and become the best you can be.

How much could I have?
I assume in this case there is no such thing as having too much or too little, but it's more on how much you actually require it.

What motivates me?
What motivates you? It's an answer you have to discover for yourself. There are so many things that can make everybody content, but to decide on one may be the hardest part.

Having a teenage child can be very difficult, for both parents and the child. It is at this stage when they are very vulnerable and susceptible to the changes that are happening within them and around them. They have to contend with a lot of pressure academically and their budding social life can be equally stressful. They are exposed to drugs and alcohol, and sex and violence are becoming prevalent in the lives of young adults. This is why it is important for them to develop their personal and interpersonal skills.

For parents, this can be a very tricky situation. Most times we do more harm than good when trying to help them with their personal and interpersonal development. Follow these tips to guide you on not only helping your teenagers with their personal and interpersonal development but also in having a more solid relationship with your teenagers. Start treating them like adults. Avoid talking down to them even when you are reprimanding them for something wrong that they did. Do not embarrass them in front of others. If you have to do some serious scolding, do it in private.

When making rules, be clear and concise. In most cases it is not the rules themselves that cause teenagers rebel and lose their way, but the ambiguity of rules we sometimes impose on them. For example, avoid saying, “Come home early”, but rather say, “You have to be home by 7 pm”. In fact it might also be good to spell out the consequences of not obeying the rules but in doing so also be clear and precise e.g. “If you come home later than 7 pm, you will not be allowed to go to your party on Saturday.” Never make rules that are impossible to impose. For instance, you cannot keep your teenager to from making certain kinds of friends. There is very little you can do about it, and forbidding them without having the power to do anything about it will only make you lose credibility.

There is no need to make rules that are based on the final “Because I said so.” Remember, they are no longer little children that you can ask them to do this and that. Consider that your teen daughter or son may not take kindly to arbitrary rules. Take the time explain to them the reason behind the rules you want followed before imposing them. Give them some freedom but include responsibilities. Help them understand the responsibilities associated with such behavior. This is the way you can help them enhance their personal and interpersonal development. It means that giving them some freedom shows trust and most times teenager’s respond positively to a show of trust on the part of their parents. However, with every act they made, make them understand the responsibilities associated with freewill. For instance, if you allow use of the car, require that they pay for their own gas and that they check the oil, water and tire pressure before they roar off down the drive. Clearly state the sanctions if the car does not come back in one piece.

Keep an open line of communication. Most parents agree that this is easier said than done. The hugs and kisses relationship you had when they were children are long gone.

When they are teenagers, children are trying to assert their personalities as adults and they even pretend in public that they have no parents. Do not get offended by this, it is normal for children to distance them at this stage. We need to accept.

The learning processes is by far the most difficult to understand. Educational programs often find it difficult to understand the learning processes to its fullest.

Various educational institutions struggle and explore the depths to find ways to assist, children with learning. These places often attempt to optimise for the best results.

Our amplitude and scale of the power of being clever to understand and scrutinize often plays a role in our learning and is influenced from the first day of our development. Many development and learning methodologies assist educators with teaching, yet most times failure results because all of us learn in different ways.

Theorists have deliberated the processes of learning by utilizing self-talk. Using self-talk they found it easier to regulate behaviours to a large degree. One of the latest tools we are encouraged to use is our private speech. This speech suggests our personal, as well as our secretive, and concealed messages that others find hard to see.

Many children start to talk to self while playing or when they feel bored. The action of self-talking is measured and deliberated as a progression of private speech. Unavoidably, at what time children are talking to self, it is more often than not executed in the shape of dialogues. Reports have noticed deliberation in private speech could in fact enhance one’s language skills. This means problems become less because the person can solve problems effectively.

The methodology has become progressively more accepted with educational programs as well as private education facilities are encouraging self-talk. This will help the children progress in their learning processes in a more structured and effectual way.

The more accepted improved structural approach is the facilitation of self-learning. By performing private speech you are essentially asking questions to self within the dialogues and that typically results in creative. Creative thinking leads to deep analysis of one’s knowledge as well as his experience in a broad manner.

Recent studies proved that self-learning through self-talk is highly effective in assisting with personal and interpersonal development. Experiments completed proved that these methods produce a platform for learning.

On a standard level, self-talk can facilitate learning and introduce the relevancy to asking salient or key questions that assist with problem solving. The chief questions commonly comprise of how, what, where, when, and who. For instance, surrounded by the exercises prearranged, predominantly are all-inclusive case studies that have proven to assist learners with challenging problems through strategic methods to solve them effectively.

The notion introduced levels of understanding. The approaches were proven to work.

Some of the common questions asked are, “What is the problem?” Where did the problem develop?” What problems are occurring? Who has caused the problem? How can you solve the problems?

This process is known as self-querying, which effectively helps people to systematically think on their own by meditating to analyze the problem.

No doubt, as the development advances, a highly developed facilitation is necessary to improve further, our skill in problem solving. As a result, the questions that we need to ask self will need to be case explicit as well as more in profundity.

Tests conducted on trained children of self-regulation learning from side to side of self-talk and the children that were normal students and had gone through conformist education resulted that the children went through the self-regulation model executed far exceedingly than those in conventional learning. This included the way in which these children expressed their ability, the depth of psychoanalysis and the excellence of their suggested solutions. In conclusion, with enhanced learning methodologies, analytical and amplitude can be improved and optimized early on.

It is part of human nature to experience these emotions. Often, you may see where one or more of these emotions together can cause serious problem for individuals. This is when one tends to block or isolate oneself from living a full happy life. One may often find oneself repeating these human patterns in other relationships such as; one’s career choice or just feeling stuck in a situation that appears one has no control over.

Emotional freedom can release all the pressures that one may encounter. Individual’s can regain their sense of choice over negative emotions and revises one’s empowerment so one can truly feel free. One that seeks emotional freedom often lives a more joyful and happy life.

Can you recall an experience that left you feeling you had no control over the situation? Do you know now how you felt at that moment when you think back? What are your feelings toward the people involved? Name the emotional feeling that you have at this present time. If you can’t give a name to your feeling, you can call it an emotion. How bad was the emotion? Can you rate this emotion on an emotional scale of zero to ten?

Physical pain can cause discomfort that can also be treated by emotional freedom techniques. All one has to do is replace the word,“emotion” with a descriptive gesture such as “headache”. One can often rebalance one’s energy flow.

Often one may use a tapping beat to exercise their emotions for release. Use the example of low back pain. In order to release just simply repeat “Even though one may have stress, one deeply accepts oneself. Repeat this gesture around three times while tapping continuously. `Now take a deep breath. Try focusing on the emotion that was bothering you. Can you rate the intensity of your feeling on the emotional scale now between zero and 10? If you happen to be experiencing a stressful feeling of a 5 or 6 on the emotion scale, can you determine if it stills remains at that level?

A strong emotion will often leave an impression on one’s spirit and cause one to react on it. Anger tends to have the strongest impact on one’s emotion, leaving a lasting impression on oneself. When one is angry, this becomes the quickest way to get one’s attention. Many women are prone to using this gesture to get their husbands attention. It truly works.

Many men don’t know how to manage their own feelings when it comes to women. This is especially true in hostile feelings. Most men turn to fighting women because they are certainly afraid of the higher power and physical strength of a man. The majority of the time women have the upper hand, when it comes to verbal fighting. It is also true that men feel horrible if they should make a woman cry or become upset. Women, often have looked up to men as one’s protector. Often when a man sees the stressful emotion he has placed on the woman, he begins to focus on what a brute he has become.

Men have always been afraid of getting women upset, afraid that the woman would leave them. This has been said to reflect the boy’s fear of his mother. When one’s mother sees her son growing up and moving away from her, one seems to think one may become threaten to withdraw one’s affection from him by pouting or by manipulating against one in order to hold on to him. This is where a choice has to be made; chose manhood or woman’s love. Often if man has no father to stand with him, he only resigns his position to the woman.

Women are often reward for their outburst. One may not know it at the time, but women dominate when angry.

Teamwork does Matter

No matter how qualified or how skilled people think they are in accomplishing a certain task or responsibility, there will always be occasions where they find that they are unable to do certain duties all by themselves. No matter how strong they pride us as being, for example, most will nonetheless still have a difficult time attempting to carry a whole wardrobe. No matter how smart they are, or how high their IQs are, they would still not be able to finish a load of reports due within the next hour. For this, they often find that they would need to rely on the help of other people around them.

Most people who view themselves as being independent often would like to say that they do not need to rely on the help of other people, and that they are more than perfectly capable of managing tasks without their aid. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. But more fortunately, needing the help of other people does not necessarily imply that the person is inadequate at performing his or her duties. Asking for assistance is not something that people should be ashamed of. In fact, working together in teams is encouraged not only to increase the camaraderie and the working relationships between one another, but also to further improve your social skills and your personal values as an individual.

In the workplace, the bulk of responsibilities and tasks do not fall under one person alone – it falls under a group of people working for someone assigned as their leader. If the work is poorly done, or is left unfinished, the full blame does not rest entirely on the leader alone, but on the whole team. Leaders have to learn to delegate tasks and encourage his members to complete them before the required deadline, but must also learn not to shirk away from doing some of the work himself. By letting his members know that he is fully prepared to work hand in hand with them for the duration of the project, the leader is able to encourage his members to do more work. In the same way, members who see their leaders working hard also tend to work harder themselves. Each member may possess different strengths and weaknesses that the leader can take advantage, and can assign jobs to each that would either compliment their strengths, or help to improve their weaknesses. This way, not only will the job be completed faster, it will also be of better quality.

Learning to work together as a team, however, does not have to be limited t the workplace. Working together is still a good asset to learn when working with family members of friends to accomplish a certain goal. Whether it is something as simple as cooking a large dinner, or to something more complicated as starting up a new business, teamwork is always important to ensure that things get done, and get done better.

Due to the differences among people, there will always be a certain amount of conflict when working together, and this cannot be entirely prevented. However, by talking out problems with the people that you are working with, you are able to get a better idea of any flaws that you may have, and may even learn something new or seek to improve these flaws in order to increase the quality of the work that you are doing. Resolutions to problems can also be solved more efficiently by seeking the advice of other people, preferably those that you are also working closely with because they are those who also understand the situation as you do.

Find yourself with relaxation with a positive attitude while looking in a mirror. Look at the other person; who is yourself and ask why do you feel like a failure? Are you happy with your looks, sad from grief, afraid of failing or fearful of something particular?

Why is it that humans are so afraid to commit themselves to loving each other? People are afraid of the society they live in. They spend more time worrying about what others will think of their relationship until they actually forget about the most crucial behaviors given to humans.

It has often been said that if you love, you might be considered naïve. When you are happy, then you are just simple and not worth taking serious. If one is generous and care for the welfare of another, they are considered suspects. Forgiving is a sign of weakness. Developing trust in others you are likely to be considered a fool. When you take all of the above gestures and add them up to get an opinion, you may be considered a phony.

People need to realize that in order to form a relationship there are so many actions to take into consideration. One needs to know about love; compassion; tenderness; caring; sharing and how to relate to another. Without these fine features life is empty though you may be in the best of health. You may have a very comfortable home and your life still is empty. Even though many humans know this behavior, they spend very little time trying to correct their behavior.

Today, you can find many people that are so sophisticated that they can’t admit to the confusion and unhappiness that they have let their ego get them into. This can be devastating to a relationship. Learning to share your love with another can be very overwhelming. Humans have such little faith when it comes to the flow of life. There is always that need for permanency or continuity, when the only unchanging quality in life as in love should be growth and freedom.

Even though so many humans are afraid of a relationship, you still find ill equipped humans forming friendships; marrying; and raising families with no resources to meet the overwhelming demands they may have to face head on.

It is very strange that even knowing the desperate need for relating, one may continue through much of their life to only engage in a thoughtless idle behavior, which will only relate in one becoming isolated.

There may have been weeks or even months that you may have been happy and full of joy, and then it happens. You began to wonder: Why is it that this relationship is no more? How could this have been overlooked? Was it harder then, or now? These are just a few questions one may ask after a relationship has fail.

Don’t be afraid of loving relationships. This is necessary for life, health and growth. Most of you have learned from experience, that inability to live in harmony with another is responsible for many of the fears; anxieties; and mental illnesses. Even those of you that hunger for closeness and understanding often find that there is nowhere you can turn for help.
Unable to find help, you may continue to engage blindly in a painful, unfulfilling relationship, which will sap all your energies. Often one will find that they lack the strength and knowledge to meet the demands of relating.

Humans have obviously not learned much from past years. No one has stopped to think that humans are not born with opinions regarding other people one has to be taught. It is up to the individual to discover new solutions and learn new patterns or relating.

Don’t be afraid! Anything that has been learned can be unlearned and relearned. It is only in this process of change that real hope lays. Take time to yourself and focus on the relationship you are wanting. Enter into the relationship aware of the advantages and disadvantages. Never get to comfortable in a relationship; failure could be lurking around the corner.

Take a little time to learn about how your emotions can have an effect on you and deter you from making progress in personal and interpersonal development. It is necessary to understand your emotional responses and what causes them to heat up if you intend to improve your life. It takes effort, so get started now.

How emotions react:
Emotions react to negative stimulus or positive stimuli. These stimuli develop from our environmental changes, personal relationships, and often act in accord to what you observe based on your perceptional views. When the emotions are triggered, thus it will cause a reaction.

Examining what emotional responses mean we can see that our past learning, influences, etc all play a part in the development of emotional stimuli. For instance, when you start your first relationship. What occurs? First, you start out on the right foot and then abruptly as the relationship develops you find that you have differences, which for most people lead to argument.

Your subliminal mind will store the hidden messages or negative thoughts, reactions etc taking in what the conscious mind cannot handle. Over the years you will encounter similar issues that trigger the emotions, whereas buried messages will trigger a response and it all reveals self in the emotions. Thus, the emotions may feel threatened, which may cause you to react in anger.

What it takes:
What it takes to reverse these emotional responses so that your mind and body is relaxed are you to dig into your subliminal mind and discover what truly makes you sad or angry. Once you challenge this area of your mind, you will find answers. In time, you might learn that what occurred at that moment in your relationship had little to do with the emotional responses you felt.

In short, somewhere in your childhood, some similar action occurred which perhaps caused you to feel angry at the time your relationship was heated.

At what time you explore the subliminal mind you often find why, who, what, when, how, and other aspects of your emotional responses, thus finding answers to many problems.

Take some time to learn more about emotional responses. By learning you will encourage self-growth, which is the process of personal and interpersonal development.

You want to abandon any negative energy that flow to the emotions. These negative energies include, fear, doubt, resentment, etc. By abandoning these negative energies you will give you room to grow. Learn forgiveness, because you will need to forgive if you want to abandon fear, doubt and resentment.

Your best bet in personal and interpersonal development is to develop a mind that focuses on peace and love. Love and peace above all else will help you discover you and deal with any other negative energy that may crop up.

Once you have an understanding of your emotions it will be easier to probe into your subliminal mind and continue to encourage relaxation. In this area of your mind are many hidden messages, which you must explore to manage your emotions or emotional responses.

Also, take some time to learn the benefits of self-talk. Learn how this natural skill can direct you to explore the subliminal mind and manage your emotions.

Personal & Interpersonal Development: Language Barriers

Language is a tradition that is almost as old as time. It is often used as the most common forms of communication, even since ancient times, where early cavemen talked to each other, first with a series of grunts and facial and body movements, and then developing later on to rudimentary alphabets and phrases, and continuing to develop on the same level as civilization flourished. Languages are the best way to communicate thoughts and personal opinions about certain subjects to other people, and to allow them to communicate their own ideas. Through language, we are able to successfully exchange information easily, allowing people to learn from others.

Therefore, by being able to cultivate one’s skills in language, one is also able to easier and more efficiently get their ideas across to other people and, more importantly, successfully persuade and convince others of their significance. Learning to become eloquent no only affects how other people heed your words, but it also perceptibly affects how you view yourself, and can improve your self-esteem.

By being able to use the right words and the right manner to make your point known, you will find it easier to find people to listen to you and your opinions. When others find some flaw in your argument and point them out to you, you can further learn from this experience by assessing the weak points in your argument and improving upon them. In this manner, learning from criticism can prove very advantageous, as it can allow you to hone your speaking and writing skills to a fuller extent, and enables you to find illogical statements in your arguments to improve upon.

The benefits of being good with speaking and writing the language, however, is not just limited in succeeding in bringing your ideas and opinions to other people, it can also visibly improve your self-confidence. With more practice, you become more familiar with talking to others, whether it is among a small group, or in front of a larger audience. Becoming more accustomed t speaking helps to improve your self-confidence the more times you are able to talk with others and persuade them at the very least to consider what you say.

Perhaps more importantly, establishing yourself as a good speaker or debater can also result in establishing yourself as an identity, not only to others but to you particularly. What most people talk about quite often shows off their personality; a person who is very insistent about his side of the argument despite the facts may be someone who is not very open-minded about certain subjects. Someone who likes to rely on factual information and statistics may be a boring speaker, but possesses a very intellectual frame of mind. A person who is able to listen to both sides of the argument and provide his own take regarding why his decision tries to include the best of both worlds, is usually very diplomatic and prone to mediating between two conflicting parties, but may have some difficulty in taking a final side.

By gauging the type of language that you use in conversation, people are able to get a better glimpse of the type of person that you are as well, and this can also be used to further improve yourself. By accepting other’s criticisms that you do refuse to take into account anyone else’s view but your own, for example, you can seek to consciously become more open to other ideas, and further practice will allow you to do so more naturally, not just when you are involved with debates with others, but also in hw you deal with people you interact with everyday.

Children are undeveloped. We must accept that children will keep secrets and that there are things they will tell other people but not you. Give them some space but make it clear to them that you are always available if and when they need you. And if they do talk to you, keep an open mind to what they are saying and keep any reservations you make have to yourself. Teenagers can be very difficult. But in most cases, it is because we rarely listen to them and even rarely try to look at things from their point of view. How we relate to them has a great impact on how the will develop as adults. And what they become as adults is surely a reflection on how we are as parents.

By giving a teenager respect you can win them over. You can encourage personal and interpersonal development when you give them respect, simply because they will start respecting you and start to see things in a different light.

Many parents fail to respect their children. Rather they believe that the child must respect them and that the child must earn his or her respect and must be an adult. This is far from reality and truth, simply because these little minds are people too.

When you learn to accept that your child, like you, deserves respect you will find it easier to talk with your child. In addition, the encouragement you give will inspire your child to think for him or her self.

When your child thinks for him or her self it is a part of development, which ultimately guides them to do what is right. They build a strong mind, which is what you want to encourage throughout the processes of child development.

Teenagers go through a lot at school and at home. Often they are pressured to act like someone else rather than themselves. As parents we must accept that our children have their own personality and should act in accord to who they are, rather than like someone else.

Encourage your child to be him or her self. This will inspire personal and interpersonal development. Your child needs room to grow, so be the parent and give your child this room.

Children also have a mind of their own and are human beings that will make many mistakes during the process of child development. Keep in mind that you make and have made many mistakes during your grow up phase. Give your child room to develop and learn from his or her mistake. Instead of punishing your child harshly when he or she makes a mistake, sit down like two adults and discuss the consequences with your child.

What a great way to encourage personal and interpersonal development for your child. Treat your child like a human being and your child will grow happy and healthy with a stable mind and a whole being created.

Children, like adults need to feel trusted. When you show your child that you trust him or her, your child will thrive to do his or her best to make sure that this trust is not broken.

Trust your child. Trust is a point of respect that we must all develop so that we can encourage healthy personal and interpersonal relationships and development.

Children need to feel close to their parents also. The closeness should have balance and we as parents must put forth effort to listen to our child when needed, and to pay closer attention to our children’s needs. By doing so we can encourage healthy children through personal and interpersonal development.

Being a “mere housewife” is no longer the downtrodden, poor little woman of thirty years ago. Today’s frantic, two-income; the kids-have-to-go-to-college household precludes being a “mere housewife.” It is a luxury not many women are able to achieve. It means your husband is making enough that you no longer have to join the rat race, and you are now free to take care of the house and the kids, if any. It is the perfect time for some serious personal and interpersonal development. The image of the housewife as one cut-off from contact with the outer world is a thing of the past. With cable television, DVD, the Internet and DSL, a stay-at-home mom can be all things at the same time, yet find time for the family. Here is a typical day a housewife as it can be today.

Keep fit. With the kids gone, you can switch on your exercise program and burn off a few calories while waiting for the washing machine to finish the cycle. With the clothes in the dryer, you can munch on some fruit or raw vegetables while you check your email. Folding is done in a thrice while you watch the latest reality show on cable television. Telecommute. With clothes folded, you download the files you will need for the transcription job you do on the side while you vacuum the floor. An incoming e-mail lets you know that the headphones you ordered is on its way. Another e-mail gives you your blogging assignments for the week, and you note it on your scheduler, squeezing it in between lunch and picking up the kids from soccer practice.

Take up a hobby. The doorbell rings as you finish cleaning the bathroom and the courier hands you the pattern for the cross-stitching you are doing for an online store, which specializes in personalized cross-stitching. It will take you maybe two weeks of waiting for dinner to finish cooking and watching TV with your husband after dinner to finish the project. In the meantime, the stuff you had posted on eBay has been getting hits and the bidding will end soon. That is one way to get rid of the clutter.

Make friends. Your Skype and YM are both ringing but you put them on hold while you tick off the things you will need to get from the grocery. You send e-mail to your sister in Australia informing her that the family reunion is going on as scheduled and to email you back pictures of the kids so they could be included in the electronic album you are making and burning into disks as a giveaway. Someone from Japan wants you to add her to your contacts, and you think this is a good time to find out more about Japan and you add her, together with contacts in Germany, India and North Korea. The English can be a little funny at times but at least you are starting to learn a few words in German. An old high school friend comes online and wants to chat. You stay online for half an hour, declining to use the video camera because you have face cream on. You tell your chat room you need to sign out and turn away to start dinner.

Is this fantasy? Hardly. Limits are only set by the mind, and with technological innovations for instant communication and online transaction the possibilities are endless. Pretty soon, husbands will want to be househusbands. That may be a good thing. At least that will get the mowing done while he is on a conference call with his boss in Taiwan.
